Introduction

Kerone provides advanced ptfe powder drying line engineered to deliver high efficiency, precision, and industrial-grade reliability. With over 48 years of expertise across thermal, infrared, RF, microwave, and mechanical engineering, Kerone develops customized systems tailored to industry-specific requirements, ensuring maximum productivity and operational stability.

Polytetrafluoroethylene, also called PTFE or Teflon®, is a chemically inert fluoropolymer with the lowest coefficient of friction of any solid. The unique structure of PTFE molecules also provides this material excellent hydrophobic qualities and the ability to repel dust, dirt, and grime that might stick to oil-based lubricants. PTFE powder may be compounded or tumbled with a range of materials for anti-stick applications or blended with liquid dispersants to create a mould release agent or dry film lubricant.

Why Choose Kerone PTFE Powder Drying Line

KERONE is pioneer in application and implementation engineering with its vast experience and team of professionals. KERONE is devoted to serve the industry to optimize their operations both economically and environmentally with its specialized heating and drying solutions.

Types and Features of PTFE Powder Drying Line

Applications of PTFE Powder

Blending with Polymers, Elastomers, and Composites

PTFE powder is compounded into polymers and elastomers to provide inherent anti-sticking properties and improved abrasion resistance. It does not interfere with material integration, curing, or vulcanization, making it suitable for high-performance composite formulations.

Blending with Paints and Inks

When compounded into paints, coatings, and inks, PTFE enhances slip properties and abrasion resistance. It can be effectively used with epoxy systems, acrylics, urethanes, printing inks, sealants, and various wax formulations to improve surface performance and durability.

Tumbling

PTFE powder can be tumbled with tacky polymeric or elastomeric materials to prevent sticking and repel water and contaminants. It may also be lightly applied (“thumbed”) onto parts to assist in smooth assembly and easier insertion.

Dispersions

PTFE powder can be blended into water, solvents, oils, or greases to enable more effective delivery of its low coefficient of friction to a substrate. This improves lubrication performance and reduces wear in treated components.
