MICA BAND HEATERS

Mica Band Heaters are specially designed for heating up cylindrical surface and are capable of operating at an elevated temperature and provides longer life. They are shaped in various configurations to suit varying requirements. They are manufactured out of best quality mica and it also contains imported variety of mica.

They require special arrangement for installation and insulation arrangements for heat losses. There are cut outs for thermocouples and holes provided to suit specific requirements.

 

Sizes : Heaters are available for cylinders in the range of 1” to 24” OD and above.

Width : 1” to 12” width and above.

Voltage :220 v, 240 v single phase AC supply or 380 v, 2 phase AC supply or 3 phase 4 terminal system.
Wattage :  Minimum 50 w to 6000 w and beyond.

Watt Densities :The Mica Band Heaters are constructed with lower watt density capability. They are available in the range of 20w to 40w per square inch.

Application : They are used in plastic extruders, injection moulding machines etc.

 

FLEXIBLE CERAMIC BAND HEATERS

Flexible Ceramic Band Heaters are used in applications that require temperature up to 4500° C and a wattage density of 50w per square inch. They are manufactured using individual ceramic links which allows the heater to be opened without disturbing or removing other heaters in use. It consists of stainless steel clamp band with swivel toggles for adequate clamping and has electrical termination.

The Flexible Band Heater has a diameter of 2” and with of 11/2” and above. The sheath is made up of stainless steel or treated steel sheet.
